These Terms of Service govern your use of Widenote — the app that turns what you say or type into organized notes, to-dos, and ledger entries. By using Widenote, you agree to these Terms; if you don't agree, please don't use the app.
This document works together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we handle it — we recommend reading both.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Widenote. If you're using the app on behalf of a child, you confirm you have the right to do so.
2. Your Account
Widenote works without an account, and you can also sign in with Apple to keep your notes in sync across devices. You're responsible for keeping your device and sign-in credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us right away.
3. Your Content
Whatever you record — text, voice, photos — belongs to you. By using Widenote, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service to you: organizing it into notes, notebooks, to-dos, reminders, and ledger entries, and syncing it across your devices if you're signed in. We don't use your content for advertising, and we don't claim ownership of it. See our Privacy Policy for how your content is processed, including by AI service providers.
4. AI-Assisted Organization
Widenote uses AI to classify, summarize, and organize what you record, and to generate replies, reminders, and ledger entries. This is automated and can make mistakes — misclassify a note, miscalculate a ledger entry, or misread a reminder time. Please review anything important, especially entries involving money, dates, or commitments. Widenote is not a substitute for professional financial, legal, medical, or other advice.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Widenote for anything illegal, or store or transmit content that infringes others' rights;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or the services behind it;
- Abuse the feedback channel to send spam, harmful content, or attempts to compromise our systems;
- Use automated means to access the service in a way that could disrupt it for other users.
6. Subscription and Payments
Widenote is currently free to use. We may introduce a paid subscription in the future for additional features; if we do, we'll clearly disclose pricing and what's included before you're asked to pay, and separate terms will apply to that purchase.
7. Feedback
If you send us feedback through the app, you agree that we can use it to improve Widenote without any obligation to you, and that it may be reviewed together with basic diagnostic information (see our Privacy Policy).
8. Termination
You can stop using Widenote at any time, and delete your account from the app's account center, which permanently removes your cloud data. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, to protect the security or integrity of the service, or as required by law.
9. Disclaimers
Widenote is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated organization will be accurate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Widenote, including loss of data, notes, or ledger records. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Third-Party Services
Widenote relies on third-party services to work — including Apple (sign-in), and AI providers such as DeepSeek and Alibaba Cloud DashScope (content understanding). Your use of the app may also be subject to those providers' own terms. We're not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services outside our control.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Widenote grows. If we make material changes, we'll update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know inside the app. Continuing to use Widenote after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
